Extended research on Emojis
The video in the above link starts with some of the dark websites involved in trafficking and the interesting website is “Backpage.com” this website played a massive role in the documentary “I am Jane doe” as the parents fought for justic against this website as this website allowed (supported pimps) traffickers to post revealing photos of the young victim.
another important aspect of the case in the documentary is how high the revenue of Backpage.com rises every year and then drops when the websites secede, which showed that their (Backpage.com) only source of income was the trafficking sex advertising market on the website.

Using the idea of Madeleine McCann to create samples:
The mysterious case of the child being diapered from here holiday apartment.
Some headline of Madeleine McCann with samples; The teddy bear represents the children who are being trafficked, abuses and wounded. The sample behind the Bear, with fur in the sub-layer with cut out and stretching onto shows a child trapped and they have no help and no where to go , life is full of fear and confusion not knowing what will occur next.. Same with the thread net sample at the bottom but showing that they are trying to escape or trying to keep themselves strong in one piece.
emojis also have different meanings.
The other side of emoji’s. emoji’s that we use in our day to day life also have other meanings to it then what we normally know.
as humans we look, think and use our minds in different perspective.
emojis are uses to express feeling and actions as a quick way to reply to a message. But they also have other meaning to them, as in the documentary: “I am Jane doe” they showed how trafficker (pimps) used websites as a market to sex young girls in the trafficking trade and how they used emojis as codes to get under the radar.
initial rough ideas after the research are: to use imojies to express feelings of the victims or creating a coding using emojis to replace a sentencing saying something, this is an interesting idea as the audiences can try to decode and figure out what the emoji sentence means, and will engage the audience in the process.

Although going through a lot of pain there are victims who are empowered and brave enough to go out and help others; This victims in Nepal the way they help and try to stop others form being a victim and also stop trafficking on the border with the help of the police is amazing. In the artical is says that the parents friend Offer their children (especially girls) job saying that it’s a good pay; This mostly havens in Asia as some of the people are poor and some uneducated who want their children to be better then them and live a better life, sending the girls with their friends trusting them without knowing the consequences that are going to take place.
“ Their smiles are just a mask” this tells that even if the victim is out of trafficking they still have the pain and fear deep inside them but brave to go out and spread awareness.

Netflix documentary : Madeleine McCann who was abducted form a hohiday apartment in Portugal in 2007.
The new documentary, ‘The disappearance of Madeleine McCann’ is very mysterious which angages the audience and makes you think and sometimes makes you clueless.
The first episode: Madeleine McCann disappears form the holiday appertment (ocean club, in Praia De Luz) where she was asleep with her twin siblings; when her parents were having a tapas (100 yards)close to the holiday apartment. The McCann and their friends have planned to have a check on their children every 20 minutes. Firstly why would you live your child asleep alone at night. It also says that some times their friend also had check on the McCann children’s; and finally at the last time when Kate goes to have a check Madeleine dissappers. In the documentary it shows that Hanna one of the McCann friends Had seen a men carrying a child who was asleep, when she went to check on her Owen children’s. Everyone panics and starts to fine Madeleine, and it gbreaks out on the news.
Episode 2: Robert Murat a local resident who hears about the news and tries to help the McCann in communication with the people ( as the McCanns had problems which communicating with the people especially the GNR the police) who in the midpoint in the documentary becomes a possible suspect for disappearance of Madeleine McCann, as some of the press found him being strange and have a doubt that he might be the person. reason: he was helping them and he also lives few blockers (200 yards) away form the McCanns appertment. Lori Campbell a reporter form the Sunday Mirror news “Lori has become suspicious of rob”; “becomes very concerned when he notices his photo being taken”; “going through a messy divorce”.
Lori related Robert Murat to Ian Huntley, murders of 2, 10 year old girls holly Marie Wells and Jessica Aimee Chapman on 4 August 2002 in Sohail, Cambridge, England. The Soham Village College caretaker, Ian Huntley’s motive for killing the girls is unknown, but minutes before seeing them he reportedly slammed the telephone down to Carr following a furious argument. Huntley and allegedly suspected Carr of cheating on him, leading to both Huntley’smother on the police to suspect that Huntley killed the girls in a fit of jealous rage”. Suggests that he did not have any plans for killing then as it happened in the movement of anger after speaking to Carr ( Huntley’s girlfriend). After all that had happened Huntley played innocent and played of helping the two girls family in finding the girl knowing that they are dead and he had killed them. He also spoke to the press during the investigation, its very impressive to see how he could present himself to the press during the investigation and the way he acted innocent. The Huntley’s case showed me what Lori means about Robert Murat.
Episode 3: This part of the documentary is very angaging as the investigation does not find any evidence, they get dogs, two dogs, one who can sense human cadaver (Eddie)and the other (Kella)who car sense blood, which thay can detacte even afters years. This section creates a turn in the story as what the dogs discovered is unbelievable. During the investigation they first let Eddie the dog which can sense human cadaver in the apartment ‘5A’ and the dog finds codaver sense in the bedroom between the bed and the wardrob and the other place is in the sitting room behind the sofa; Then the next dog kella comes into the apartment and senses blood at the same place as the cadaver found “behind the sofa”. This is shocking as it makes you think, ‘ did the McCanns fill in the entire story or are they vaguely covering the truth?’ As over endience was sensed by both of the dog and it was form the McCanns rental car which they had hired. This is a vast turning point in the story, as it makes the McCanns a suspect…but after finally analysing the DNA report, it said that there were more then many DNA were found which made it andunreliable evidence.
Through out the documentary there are many different stories tools by some of the witnesses of what they have seen before and after the disappearance but no evidence have beeen found.
The final episode: 6 years missing; during this time there is another suspect identified, who sexually assaulted 5 young girls in Portugal an intruder who attacked young girls in bedrooms at night, a sexual predator; one of the incident toke place in Praia De Luz place where Madeleine when missing. This gives me goosebumps of hows this sexual predator enter the homes or rente homes of the family by them not knowing.
The one inside the shown in the documentary about the sexual preadiltor is that he entire a room of a young girl( serious cases: assaulted British female children aged between 7-10 years old) wearing mask and slept next to the young girl, and the girl said, “ is that you daddy” and the the intruder said “yes”. Image how many cases of this kind have taken around the world.
This makes us think are the kids safe in the society that we live in, why are this people doing this, don’t they have families; why are they shattering other families… can’t this be ceased to create a better society.

Documentary on sex trafficking and battle against the law to gain justice for the victims. This tells us the story of some under age girls aged 13 -14 who were sold repeatedly on a website ‘Backpage.com’ ( also used to post sex adverts with very revealing images of the victim when trafficked) this also show how the website ‘backpage.com’ helps the traffickers (pimps) to post sex adverts on the websites for example, using word instead of numbers to avoid being tracked and use of emoji’s as emoji’s also have different meanings. The website did not agree to take down the sex advertising section of the website as this shows that they made the money form sex advertising; The net revenue of bacpage.com: 2012 – 71 million < 2013 – 112.7 million < 2014 – 134.9 million, this shows that they did not care for the victims as they wanted to make money. Another intresting matter was the time line of the case: 2009 – 2016 + years, this shows how long the law takes to makes its decision, as the law protected the website and no action was taken as each time the case was dismissed under section 230 of the communication disency act, law which was enacted by the econgree in 1996, which protects websites form being sued for the content posted by the third party, as a result the victims lost the case every time.
This also relates to the ‘ Three Girls’ Rochdale case as the victims lost their case as the evidence was deficient including the victims interview which was dropped by the CPS (Crown Prosecution Service) as the jury will accept the true.
Another thing that disturbed me was the guy ‘Homer King’ a former pimp who was interviewed ( I am Jane Doe) and the reply he gave were disgusting making him a person without a heart cold blooded; As he talked about recrument technique ( ‘go for the scared and vulnerable’ ‘ not love, seduction’) and when question ‘How much money do the women make?’ Answer with anger and attitude ‘No its my money. I made an undertermained amount of money. Not their money… don’t play with my money’ disgusting as he calls the illegal money his money in pride. And the final matter that raged me is when he said ‘you’re just a product’ a product? If product, which company products this product? If they are product what are you? There is a difference between a product and a human.This kind of evil dugasting piece of junk should be hung to death the same day when arrested… dugusting and Unbelievably to see them living around in the society.
I think that the system should take a bold and quick action on this type of cases and not have a long time line or be dropped because of a law or an act, as trafficking and Morden slavery is a serious issue which need to stoped and if not the traffickers will be encouraged, empowered to carry it on; therefore scrap the previous law and create a new law to support the right and justice to make a better society.

The above samples were created form the research of worst rated countries for human trafficking. As you see in the three images of the notes, I have highlighted some of the words which are recurring in each of the countries. This inspired me to create the ‘words’ sample which are three dimensional as I have stuffed the words to make them stand out. The next process for this sample will be cutting out the excess material for the current words sample to make them more slicker as for the next sampling I will be making the words hang; tearing apart or holding on together.
